The History of Dead Narcotiks...... Phase I: The Shindei Moniker THE BEGINNING: Shindeiru Mayaku has been composing and recording music since forming in 2002. Mostly unknown and underground. That was until about 2003, when the band's name was originally Death by Substance. Originally founded by 3 original members, DBS composed and wrote 15 songs, before changing their lineup and music style altogether. Around 2004, the band had 24 people in it, so they decided to split the band into two parts: DBS and a subdivision. However, the former subdivision collapsed, and new members are needed to join. [Rotation of band members]. By 2005, DBS, had yet again changed their lineup, music and name altogether, settling on becoming a Japanese International Rock band, thus translating their name into Japanese, hence, Shindeiru Mayaku, which now has 6 known members, and 3 "hidden". Shindeiru has met and planned on working with Japanese Rock band, Psycho le Cemu, sadly, PLC disbanded and lost contact before that could happen. Shindei has "released" an instrumental pre-album, late last month, and has received rave reviews from fans around the world. Shindei is planning to work on their first full length album;the majority of their songs and lyrics are written and composed by their lead singer and former lead guitarist,Bloody St. Elegance. Shindei has self-released two small introductory albums,"Verge of Reason" (2006) and "Commenting on Gravity" (2006). Shindei is currently working on their final introductory album, a mini-album, entitled, "The Other Side of Insanity". Only the Instrumental version is available, however, the band will release the full mini-album, later this year. CURRENTLY: Working on their new album entitled, Sadistic Vineyard. The tracks haven't been determined yet. Also, Shindei is planning to go on a "mini" tour sometime in Summer 2007. Shindei is also working on the music videos for songs, "Tell Me(Something New" and "Brutality", and working on their fan club. The name of the fan club is also unknown, as well as the features of the fan-club. Shindei is also in the process of creating a channel for their music videos, tour clips and backstage footage. Also, BSE is writing a Vampire series entitled, "Tristan du Mal". Look for its release in late 2010, and look for Shindei's fourth album, a major release, Sadistic Vineyard to be released late 2007/Early 2008..... PHASE II: BECOMING DEAD NARCOTIKS......... THE BEGINNING: Shindei lead vocalist Bloody saw that Shindeiru was becoming successful and felt that a change should come about because of it. Bloody realized that alot of people couldn't pronounce or spell Shindeiru Mayaku, so Bloody changed the moniker from its Japanese origin, to its closest English meaning, Dead Narcotiks. After the name change, Bloody and 2nd lead vocalist, Morbid decided to form their own version of the Japanese Rock style, Visual Kei, called IVK or Inter Vikto/Visual Kei, in homage to J-rock and J-rock bands, XJapan, Malice Mizer, and Dir en grey. When the name and image changed, so did the band lineup of Morbid,Bloody, and 3 other members. The lineup would undergo 2 more changes, before finally settling on Morbid,Bloody,Benji (drummer)and Jason (3rd vox). Currently, DN is in the process of interviewing a lead guitarist and a bassist. It was also during this time that DN founding members Bloody and Morbid decided to found a record label, Beyond Endless Reality. Already, 5 projects are slated to be released on BER, many of them from both Dead Narcotiks and label mate, Beautifully Broken
